‘Clean Energy Charging’ feature coming to iPhone with iOS 16.1

Apple quietly spoken on Monday that iPhone users in the US would soon receive a new Clean Energy Charging full-length later this year, which will optimize charging times for when the grid is using cleaner energy sources, helping to subtract the stat footprint of charging an iPhone overnight.

With the release of Apple’s first iOS 16.1 developer beta today, the iPhone maker has detailed the new full-length that is set to victorious this fall, which aims to subtract the stat footprint of the iPhone by optimizing charging times for when the grid is using cleaner energy sources.”

According to a new toggle in the Settings app, the Clean Energy Charging feature will try to reduce a user’s stat footprint
by selectively charging when lower stat emission electricity is available. The device will learn from the user’s daily charging routine so it can reach full tuition surpassing they need to use it, similar to the existing Optimized Battery Charging feature, which moreover learns a user’s daily charging routine and stops recharging hitting 100% overnight, with the device reaching a full tuition in time for when the iPhone is picked up in the morning.
